Computer
Skills Made Easyis a program that has been developed
by Focus on Results Services Inc., owned by Jenny Leary and Sharon
Wilkinson of Victoria, British Columbia.
The program was developed in response to a growing need for training
in the basics of computers.We are truly in a technological age, for
which there has been little to no preparation. Our
own learning curve over the past 15 years has at times been challenging,
but ultimately rewarding.
Jenny Leary
is a former teacher and school principal. In 1991,
she branched out on her own entrepreneurial path, managing
projects primarily for the Ministry of Education of British
Columbia, school districts and boards, under the umbrella
of Leary Enterprises and Arbutus Education Services.
She was Regional
Manager, Victoria Region, for Junior Achievement of British
Columbia (JABC) from 2001 to 2007.
Sharon
Wilkinson has a background in real estate, marketing,
and laboratory technology. She served on the Board of School
Trustees for School District #62 (Sooke) as a trustee and
board chair.
Sharon went into
learning about computers "kicking and screaming"
in 1995, but since then has learned much and has advanced
beyond anyone's expectations - mostly her own!
Sharon has one
son, and a wonderful one year old granddaughter, Sophie.
In 2001, Jenny
and Sharon created Focus on Results Services Inc., under which
project management for JABC was performed. Under this umbrella,
we have other interests, such as an online organics site for
children (www.organiccribmattresses.com).
We also own and
operate international student programs. We design our own
programs for Japanese students coming to Victoria for short
terms, creating an English Second Language curriculum, and
activities.
